Translation of Fourth Kalima
There is none worthy of worship except Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). He is only one and has no partner. To him belongs the kingdom and for him is all praise. He gives life and causes death. And he is alive, he will not die, never, ever. Possessor of majesty and reverence. In his hand is all good and he has power over everything.
Hadith from Sahih Muslim
Abu Hurairah (radi allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “He who recites after every prayer: Subhan-Allah (Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) is free from imperfection) thirty-three times; Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala)) thirty-three times; Allahu Akbar (Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) is Greatest) thirty-three times; and completes the hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shai’in qadir (there is no true god except Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). He is one and he has no partner with him. His is the sovereignty and his is the praise, and he is omnipotent), will have all his sins pardoned even if they may be as large as the foam on the surface of the sea.”
Hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim
Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (radi allahu anhu) reported: The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “He who utters ten times: ‘La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahulmulku wa lahulhamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli sha’in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). He is one and He has no partner with him. His is the sovereignty and his is the praise, and he is omnipotent), he will have a reward equal to that for freeing four slaves from the progeny of Prophet Isma’il (alaihissalam).”
Hadith from Jami’ at-Tirmidhi
Abu Dharr (radi allahu anhu) narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever says at the end of every Fajr prayer, while his feet are still folded, before speaking: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala), alone without partner, to him belongs all that exists, and to him is the praise, he gives life and causes death, and he is powerful over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa `alā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ ten times, then:
ten good deeds shall be written for him,
ten evil deeds shall be wiped away from him,
ten degrees shall be raised up for him, and
he shall be in security all that day from every disliked thing, and
he shall be in protection from Shaitan, and
no sin will meet him or destroy him that day, except for associating partners with Allah.”
Hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and Jami’ at-Tirmidhi
Abu Hurairah (radi allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: ‘La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli sha’in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). He is one and he has no partner with him; his is the sovereignty and his is the praise, and he is omnipotent),’
he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves,
a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit,
hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and
he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and
no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him.
And he who utters: ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) is free from imperfection and His is the praise)’ one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.”
Hadith from Sunan Ibn Majah
It was narrated from Abu ‘Ayyash Az-Zuraqi (radi allahu anhu) that: the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever says in the morning: ‘La illaha illalahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and all praise is to Him, and He is Able to all things)’ – he will have (a reward) equal to freeing a slave among the sons of Isma’il (alaihissalam), ten bad deeds will be erased from (his record), he will be raised (in status) ten degrees, and he will have protection against Satan until evening comes. When evening comes, (if he says likewise) he will have the same until morning comes.’” (Sahih)He (one of the narrators) said: “A man saw the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in a dream and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), Abu ‘Ayyash (radi allahu anhu) narrated such and such from you.’ He said: ‘Abu ‘Ayyash (radi allahu anhu) spoke the truth.’”
Hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari, Jami at-Tirmidhi and Sunan Ibn Majah
Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit (radi allahu anhu): The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever gets up at night and says: — ‘La ilaha il-lallah wahdahu la sharika lahu lahu-lmulk, walahu-l-hamd wahuwa ‘ala kullishai’in qadir. Alhamdulillahi wa subhanallahi wa la ilaha illallah wallahu akbar wa la hawla wala quwata illabillah.’ (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). He is the only one and has no partners. For him is the kingdom and all the praises are due for him. He is omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). All the glories are for Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala), And Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) is great and there is neither might nor power except with Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala)). And then says: — Allahumma, Ighfir li (O Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala)! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala)), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted.”
Hadith from Jami at-Tirmidhi and Sunan Ibn Majah
Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar (radi allahu anhu) narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that: the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever states in the marketplace: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala), alone, without partner, to him belongs the dominion, and to him is all the praise, He gives life and causes death, and he is living and does not die, in his hand is the good, and he has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khairu, wa huwa `alā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and build a house in Paradise for him.
In another hadith in Jami’ at-Tirmidhi: Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and raise a million ranks for him.
